Cookie Choices

Cookie Policy

Which cookies this website uses, why they are needed, and how you can control your preferences.

Effective and last updated: July 28, 2026.

This Cookie Policy explains how Chacon.law PLLC and Chacon.law APC (“Chacon.law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) use cookies and similar technologies on chacon.law. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They can support website security, remember a choice, enable a feature, or help a website understand how it is used. Some cookies last only for a browser session; others remain until they expire or you delete them.

Cookies currently used on the public site

We reviewed the public site on July 28, 2026. The current public configuration uses the following necessary cookies:

  • cookieadmin_consent — Provider: Chacon.law / CookieAdmin. Type: first-party, necessary. Purpose: remembers whether you accepted, rejected, or customized optional cookie categories so the site can honor your choice. Duration: up to 180 days.
  • __cf_bm — Provider: Cloudflare. Type: first-party, necessary. Purpose: helps identify and mitigate automated or malicious traffic and protect the website. Duration: approximately 30 minutes after inactivity.

Authorized site administrators who sign in may receive WordPress authentication, security, and screen-preference cookies. Those administrative cookies are not used to track ordinary public visitors.

Cookie categories

Necessary. Required for security, consent preferences, and core website operation. These cannot be disabled through the consent tool.

Functional. Support optional website features or preferences. No functional cookies are currently configured for public visitors.

Analytics. Measure website use and performance. The site does not currently use Google Analytics or another analytics cookie service.

Marketing. Support advertising or cross-site behavioral targeting. The site does not currently use marketing cookies or Meta Pixel.

Optional categories are off by default. If an optional service is added later, CookieAdmin is configured to keep it blocked until you make a choice, and this policy should be updated.

How to make or change your choice

The consent banner provides three clear choices: “Accept All,” “Reject Optional,” and “Customize.” Selecting “Customize” lets you review each optional category before saving. Ignoring or closing the banner is not treated as consent to optional cookies.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the website footer. Changing preferences does not automatically remove cookies already stored by another service, so you may also need to delete them through your browser.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may affect security or basic site operation. Browser settings vary, so use the privacy or cookie controls in your browser’s help menu.

Third-party services

Necessary security infrastructure may set a cookie through our domain while processing information on our behalf. The site also loads web-font resources; those requests can transmit technical information such as an IP address and browser details even when no cookie is set. See the Privacy Policy for how service-provider disclosures are handled.

Updates to this policy

Cookie use can change when website features or service providers change. We will update this page and the date above when the inventory or our practices materially change. The inventory should be checked after new forms, embeds, analytics, advertising, or other third-party tools are introduced.
